The Secret Behind Being Change Agent
Have you ever noticed that there is dew on the leaves of plants in the morning? From where the dew is? Or have you noticed camphor suddenly disappear when placed in the open? How can that happen? You can find the answer after studying the material changes to the form of the following substances. Listened to ya!
As you know, there are three states of matter, namely solid, liquid and gaseous substances. To know the characteristics of each of the states of matter can you see the material again here. In
certain conditions the substance is generally only a single form, but
all forms of substances can actually change from one form to another
form. For example, when you put a piece of ice in a container in direct sunlight. Ice cubes will experience a change in the form of a solid into a liquid.
What are the changes in states of matter that can happen? There
are at least six changes in states of matter that can happen, that
freezes, melts, evaporates, condenses, sublimes, and deposition.
1. Freeze
Freeze a change states of matter from liquid to solid.
For example, the formation of ice water, liquid cooled wax.
2. Melt / Melt
Is a substance changes from a solid form menjad liquid.
For
example: the ice melts, or butter that melts when heated in the frying
pan, the wax melts when heated, gelatinous solid heated.
3. Yawn
A change states of matter from liquid to gas.
For
example, water is continuously heated long run because it will
evaporate, gasoline and methylated left out in the open too long will
turn into gas.
4. Condense
It is the states of matter change from gas to liquid.
For
example, the formation of dew in the morning because the morning air
vapor turns into water, wet glass wall in which there are ice cubes.
5. Sublimes
It is the states of matter change from solid to gas.
Examples of mothballs (camphor) were placed in the open too long will be depleted due to turn into gas.
6. Deposition
It is the states of matter change from gas to solid.
Examples of events vapor changes into snow.
What is the secret changes the states of matter?
Changes in states of matter actually is due to the influence of thermal energy (heat). When a substance / object releasing or receiving heat then it will change shape.
When solids accept heat / hot then it will change into a liquid (melting) or a gas (sublimes). If the liquid receives heat it will change into gas (vapor). That's why camphor placed in the open too long will be depleted due to turn into gas. Thus the states of matter change events melts, sublimes and requires heat to evaporate.
Conversely,
when the substance releases heat (cools) the liquid will change into
solid (frozen) and gaseous substances will turn into a liquid
(condense). That
is why there is dew in the morning which is a change in the form of
water vapor in the air into the water because of the cool temperatures
at night. Thus, changes in states of matter caused by freezing and condensing heat release.

is there any formula for each equation?
BalasHapusin our daily life, what kinds of activities that use the change of matter and its must be happen for forever?
BalasHapusCan you explain the formula that is in the article you mentioned?
